Crystal Hanson, owner and HR practitioner brings over 12 years of professional HR experience from prior roles at 3M and IBM.
In her corporate experience, she handled the day-to-day employee and labor relations, supported the goals of the businesses, designed, negotiated, and implemented HR policies, facilitated training for managers & supervisors, led hiring processes, was a subject matter expert in employee relations leading investigations & appeals, managed employee engagement surveys and the subsequent action plans, and strategically promoted long-term company branding and recruitment efforts.
Crystal obtained a Master’s degree in Human Resources and Industrial Relations from the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota and graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, also from the University of Minnesota – Twin Cities.
Her professional passion is analyzing risk associated with human resources systems and designing solutions that are not only compliant with various state and federal laws, but are also the right fit for an organization. She watches regulation changes, studies lessons learned from employment case law litigation, and monitors trends happening in the HR industry. She enjoys sharing this information with leaders who are ultimately accountable to their company and are in the driver’s seat for the employees’ experience.
In her spare time, Crystal enjoys spending time with her husband and 3 kids on their farm just outside of Fairmont, MN. She and her family love to be outdoors year-round: camping and being on the lake in the summer, all-hands on deck with harvest in the fall, downhill skiing in the winter to running long distance races in the spring.
